You sit up there and look down on shining stars,
Yet you watch over the sons of earth.
You keep the dust from settling quietly down,
Yet lift our heads so we don’t drown.

You forever stare down through
Shimmering skies to tend the fires that you started.
You send our soiled ash blowing wildly around,
